98. You Are Never Too Young To Serve The Lord

1 Samuel 1-3

But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.     And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favor both with the LORD, and also with men.                        1 Samuel 2:18,26

Samuel was just a small child when his mother brought him to the temple to live and serve there. Despite being a child, he grew and was in favor with the Lord and with men. Samuel didn't choose his calling, but he wasn't bitter about it either. He served faithfully where he was placed. Do you let your age get in the way of serving God? God can use anyone young or old. Sometimes it feels that we are too young for a specific task or set of tasks but if God wants to use us to accomplish it, He will! If you are willing and available, God can and will use you to accomplish His will. What is it that God is asking you to do? Are you letting fear and insecurity stop you? Or will you choose to be faithful and step out in faith and let God take care of the rest?
