127. There Is No One Like Our God

2 Samuel 6-7, 1 Chronicles 17

For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.     Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.   2 Samuel 7:21-22

God is so good. We will never find anyone like Him. His goodness far surpasses anything we can imagine. He always keeps His word and He has a big heart. So much so that He has caused us to know all the great things that He had done. How much time do you spend learning about God and the great things He has done both for you and others? Do you thank and praise Him for His goodness? What good things has God done for you? So many people spend so much time chasing after things that won't satisfy them or dedicating their whole lives to a false religion that worship men and not God. He is the one true God. He offers salvation to us apart from anything we have to do and gives it to us for free! No other "god" offers that! Everything we have heard about God and His goodness is true! Will you take the time to thank Him for His blessings every day?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
