142. Sing And Give Thanks To The Lord

Psalm 95,97-99

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.   Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.   For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.   Psalm 95:1-3

How often do you sing to the Lord? What kind of songs are you singing? Are they even worthy of singing to your Lord? Our singing is to be joyful. When you come before the Lord, how do you start your conversation with Him? You should be starting with thankfulness. One of the things you are to say/sing to Him are psalms. How many psalms do you know? God wants to hear you sing. It brings Him pleasure to hear you sing to Him. And being grateful not only makes Him happy, it makes you happy too. And why should you do this? Because He is a great God and He is above all other gods. Most importantly, He is the rock of your salvation. Without Him, salvation wouldn't be available to you. He is worth singing and giving thanks to!

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them.
