156. Be Wise And Believe In Creation

Proverbs 7-9

The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.     I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.     When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.     Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:     While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.     When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:     When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:     When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:     Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;     Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.   Proverbs 8:22-31

Wisdom was there at creation. In fact, she was before creation. God created wisdom before He created earth. How important wisdom is to God! Not only that, but if we have wisdom, we have an eye witness account of creation. Since wisdom gives us an eye witness account of creation, does it not imply that if you were wise, you would believe in creation? Wisdom says that "In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth" and to believe anything else would be foolish and would make you a fool. The Bible has a lot to say about fools, and it's not good. Will you ask God for wisdom? And will you believe and obey wisdom? Whether it's believing creation, or making wise choices, or following instructions, wisdom will never lead you astray.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
