175. Trust God’s Plan
2 Chronicles 10-12
So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause
was of God, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spake by the hand of
Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat. 2 Chronicles 10:15
There are few things more grievous than a wicked ruler. It's
difficult to live under and obey government when they make decisions that go
against the word of God. But God is the one who is in control and decides who
gets into office. In Proverbs it says that the kings heart is in God's hand.
And in the New Testament it says we are to obey and submit ourselves to the
authority of our government. It can be difficult to obey and respect the office
of someone who is so wicked, or who makes bad decisions against God for the
place that they have rule over. But, will you choose to follow God's word and
obey those that have the rule over you? Will you trust that the people in
charge are the people that God allows and submit to them as unto the Lord?
