194. Who Is God To You?

Isaiah 9-12

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.   Isaiah 12:2

There are so many things that the Bible says that God is, but how do you see Him? How do you act based on who He is to you? As a child of God, He is your salvation. He's the only one that can offer salvation and the only one who paid for your salvation. Do you recognize and thank Him for it? Because He is your salvation, you can trust Him, and if you trust Him, you won't be afraid. In 2 Timothy it says that the spirit of fear is not from God but rather power, love, and a sound mind. Is He your salvation? Will you trust Him and not be afraid? Is the Lord your strength and your song? It is only through Christ you can be truly strong. Is He the One you sing about? He truly is worthy and the only One worthy of such adoration and praise. Who is God to you?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them.
