206. Thank God For What He’s Done For You

Isaiah 37-39, Psalm 76

Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.   Isaiah 38:17

Does this describe you? Were you consumed by bitterness instead of filled with peace? Aren’t you so glad that God is bigger than you and your feelings? God loves you and for that you should be thankful. He loves your soul so much that He paid the price and delivered it from the pit of corruption. You could be lost, and living for the world, the flesh, and the devil, without hope if it weren't for His love for you. Not only did He deliver your soul because of His love for you, He also cast all your sins behind His back! There are times when Satan will bring up your sin and make you feel guilty but God doesn't remember your sin and He doesn't want you to feel guilty over something that He has literally forgiven and forgotten. He's been so good to you, will you thank Him for His goodness and deliverance instead of feeling guilty for things that in God's mind don't exist anymore?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
