208. No Pain, No Gain

Isaiah 44-48

Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.   Isaiah 48:10

It can be a hard thing to think that there are times that God chooses affliction to refine you. Refinement isn't easy and it's not fun. In order to be refined, to become more pure, God has to remove some things from your life. Are you willing to let Him do whatever refining is necessary to have a pure and holy life? When God brings affliction into your life, do you accept it and trust that He's getting accomplished what He wants to and not fight against Him? If you allow God free reign in your life to do whatever He deems necessary, you will benefit from it in the end and God will get the glory!
