272. Make Thanksgiving And Praise A Priority

Nehemiah 11-13, Psalm 126

And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.   Nehemiah 12:24

Praise and thanksgiving are so important to God that there was a whole group of men dedicated to praise and give thanks! If it's that important to Him, what importance do you put on it in your life? Do you spend any time at all praising the Lord and thanking Him for who He is and what He's done? He is worthy of your praise and it does you a lot of good to have a thankful spirit. Will you make thanksgiving and praise a priority in your day?

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
