289. You Are Valuable To God

Matthew 10

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.     But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.     Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.   Matthew 10:29-31

Sometimes it's easy to feel forgotten, or of little value or worth. It's hard to step into an unknown future and situations and circumstances that are out of our control. When you feel alone and afraid, Jesus said not to fear because He hasn't forgotten you and you have value to Him. You might end up in a situation that is hard and less than comfortable. Especially if it involves a big life change. But, if it's God that is leading you in the change, He will take care of you. Sparrows are one of the least of the birds. Not very wanted and very cheap. Sometimes that's how you can feel but God says that you are of more value than many sparrows. He loves you and He will take care of you because you are worth it to Him. He even knows the exact amount of hairs on your head! Will you trust God to take care of you wherever you are? Even if no one else sees anything of value in you, God does and He'll love you better than any person ever can.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
