306. Make Jesus Your Priority

Luke 19

And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.     And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.     And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.     And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.     And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.     And he made haste and came down, and received him joyfully.   Luke 19:1-6

Zacchaeus knew where Jesus was going to be. Not only did he go to where Jesus was going to be, but he wanted to see Jesus for who He was. He didn't give up because he was short, he put effort into overcoming the challenges that he had that he couldn't change to be able to see Jesus. Because of that, Jesus saw him, told him to come down, and said that He was going to his house. Zacchaeus made haste and joyfully received Jesus into his house and then made changes in his life. Do you respond like Zacchaeus? Will you go out of your way to seek Jesus? When you draw nigh to God, He will draw nigh to you. When you find Jesus, will you hastily go to Him, and joyfully receive Him into your house and allow Him to make all the changes He wants to in your life?
