326. Endure Temptation

James 1-5

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.   James 1:12

Temptation is a difficult thing to endure. Satan knows that and that is why he tempts us to do what we know we shouldn't by making it look better than it is. But usually when it comes to spiritual things, anything difficult is worth doing. Though it would be far easier to give into the temptations that come your way, if you choose to turn to God and resist temptation, it will gain you eternal rewards. You will get a crown of life when you get to heaven. And that ought to matter far more to you than instant gratification and taking the easy way out here on earth. When you get to heaven, will you have a crown of life to cast at Jesus' feet?
