24. Stand Up For What Is Right
Genesis 35-37
And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again. Genesis 37:22
In an attempt to do what was right, Reuben suggested a “better” idea. Even though throwing Joseph into a pit was better than killing him, it still wasn’t the right thing to do. Reuben should have spoken up for Joseph and tried to persuade them to let him go instead of trying to be nice but still kind of fit in. How many times, in an attempt to have everyone like you, have you compromised the truth? Or suggested a beter idea or thought than the bad one but it wasn’t the right thing to do? Will you choose to be bold for the truth and not change it for your comfort?
